Employers can claim the Employee Retention Tax Credit (ERTC) for the last three quarters of 2020 and the first three quarters of 2021. 1 The American Rescue Plan (ARP) further extended the ERTC to the end of 2021 (now ending September 30, 2021). 2 Eligible employers can get a credit equal to 70 percent of qualifying wages per quarter in 2021. 3 The Employee Retention Credit is also available to eligible employers for wages paid during the third and fourth quarters of 2021. 4 5
