Most US resident taxpayers will file Form 1040 for tax year 2022. Seniors age 65 and older have the option to file Form 1040-SR this year, which is basically the same as Form 1040. Nonresident taxpayers will file Form 1040-NR. Commonwealth residents will file either Form 1040-SS or Form 1040-PR.
