PODN (Podocan) is a protein coding gene associated with Joubert Syndrome 9. 1 It is involved in collagen binding 1 and negatively regulates cell proliferation and cell migration. 1 PODN is also a database that provides access to over a hundred publicly available resources, including expression profiles, functional associations, and biological entities. 2 It also includes data from 58 datasets, such as the Allen Brain Atlas Adult Human Brain Tissue Gene Expression Profiles dataset, the BioGPS Human Cell Type and Tissue Gene Expression Profiles dataset, and the CCLE Cell Line Gene CNV Profiles dataset. 2 PODN also provides access to biomedical publications, gene signatures, gene perturbations, and small molecule perturbations, as well as gene expression profiles. 2
