You can add a new phone to your Google Fi account and keep the same phone number.
You can only have one active phone at a time on Fi, so you can turn off the old phone and turn on the new phone to activate it and move the number.
If you turn the new phone off and turn the old phone back on, you will be prompted to move the number back.
If you have a new Fi phone , or you'd simply like to use a different one, you can add it to your Google Fi account. Once you do, you'll continue to have service on your new phone and keep the same phone number.
Your previous phone will still appear on your account as an inactive device.
